What You Need to Play Yutnori
1. Yut (4 wooden sticks):
• Each stick has a flat side and a rounded side.
2. Tokens (pieces):
• Each team has four tokens to move on the board.
3. Board:
• A game board with a specific path marked for the tokens.
How to Play
1. Throwing the Yut Sticks:
• Players throw the four sticks simultaneously, and the result determines how far a token can move:
• Do (1 flat side up): Move 1 space.
• Gae (2 flat sides up): Move 2 spaces.
• Geol (3 flat sides up): Move 3 spaces.
• Yut (4 flat sides up): Move 4 spaces and throw again.
• Mo (0 flat sides up): Move 5 spaces and throw again.
2. Moving the Tokens:
• Tokens move according to the result of the yut sticks.
• Multiple tokens from the same team can combine and move together as one unit.
3. Capturing Opponent’s Tokens:
• If your token lands on a space occupied by an opponent’s token, you “capture” it, sending their token back to the start.
• Capturing a token gives you another turn to throw the sticks.
4. Special Shortcuts:
• The board includes shortcuts that allow players to reach the finish line faster.
5. Winning the Game:
• The first team to move all their tokens to the finish line wins.
Why Yutnori is Fun
• Strategy: Players must decide which token to move for the best result.
• Luck: The outcome of the yut sticks heavily influences the game.
• Teamwork: When playing in teams, coordination with teammates is key.
